Hey All,
It looks like I have to miss this year's GRL event. I've put it
off as long as possible, hoping things would change but they haven't. I'm going
to have to go in for surgery on my bellybutton hernia (used to be an inny. Now
it's an outy). Not sure when exactly the docs want to do this but it will most
likely be in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, they do not want me
traveling in case it gets worse and I have to go in for emergency surgery. One
good cough and I'm in the hospital, which considering I have a chest cold right
now, is not a good thing. The meds they have me on are helping but it really
sucks. Like I said, until this cold hit, I was really hoping to make it and put
the surgery off until AFTER the conference. But that’s just not going to
happen.
I hope everyone has an absolutely wonderful time and takes lots of
pictures so that I can see them. I am sorry to have missed everyone. There were
so many people that I was looking forward to seeing again or meeting for the
very first time. Hopefully, this will all be taken care of by the next conference.
