I saw the notice go up about the New Year theme day at M/M Romance Readers & Writers and it got me to thinking about how my last year went and the hopes I have for the next year. At this time last year, I was working in a job I absolutely hated. It was all I could do to get up in the morning and go to work. I was miserable, but it put food on the table and paid the bills.
This year, I'm still working, putting food on the table and paying my bills, but I'm living my dream job writing for a living. Does it get any better than this? Why yes...yes, it does...not only am I living my dream job, but also someone decided I could actually write. Who knew? LOL...it hasn't been easy. My family has had to make sacrifices so that I can get my foot in the door, so to speak, but here I am...
I'm 41,000 words into sequel number two of the Wolf Creek Pack, 24,600 words into Tri Omega Mates number 4. I work from home so that I can be here every day when my kids come home and I make my own hours (it's 3:15am right now). My family is very proud of me, but maybe not quite as proud as I am of myself. As scared as I was, I took the chance that someone somewhere might like the crazy stuff that comes out of my head.
I have a bunch of books coming out in the next three or four months and several more that I'm working on, including a new series called Warriors of Akasha. I've created sci-fi worlds with two moons, two entire werewolf cultures, and one horny chocolate eclair baker who falls in love with a doctor. I've dreamed up cat men, werewolves, and soldiers with paranormal abilities. My characters have fallen into love, out of love, and gone just plain crazy...all of this from the chaos of my own imagination and my laptop.
Does life get much better than this? Only if I win the lottery!
Thanks for everything you've all done to make this last year so wonderful for me. I've made a lot of friends, met a zillion people, and found an entire world filled with people that have great imaginations and even bigger hearts. Without your encouragement, I would still be working that horrible job and wishing I had the courage to follow my dreams.
So, as this new year dawns...I wish you and yours the very best that the new year has to bring.

5 Blue Ribbon for Forbidden Desires
I just got my review for Forbidden Desires from Romance Junkies. I received 5 blue ribbons. How cool is that? And the reviewer liked this one better than the first one, Secret Desires, which also recieved 5 blue ribbons. You can read the review below or check it out at Romance Junkies .
Ryland is running out of ideas of how to show his mate that he is ready to be claimed. Deciding to take the bull by the horns, he tells Gregory, the man who saved him years earlier and has been there for him through thick and thin – that he is ready to be claimed. This, however, evolves into a situation that has far reaching consequences.
Gregory is out of his mind with lust for his little mate, but wants to wait until he is ready. Knowing that he cannot have what he wants, he does the next best thing. This results in him having to face up to what was directly in front of him and laying claim to his mate.
After a night of passion, they find out that all is not perfect with their joining –as not only is Ryland unable to talk to Gregory, but they find out that he is a Tri-Omega and if his second mate is not found soon – Gregory may not have a mate at all.
Getting away from the pack for some much needed R&R seems to be the most logical thing to do – allowing Ryland and Gregory to spend some quality time together. However, they get more than they bargained for as not only does Ryland find his second mate, but his mate's wolf is in no mood to share.
After reading a wonderful first book in a series, it is always with a sense of trepidation that I read the second without comparing it to the first. Stormy Glenn has done what few authors have been able to do. She has given us a better book with FORBIDDEN DESIRES, the second book in The TRI-OMEGA series.
This book is a character driven book, it delves into the dynamics of two men who have waited what feels like an eternity to be together, only to find out that in their eagerness to be together they have set in motion a chain reaction that is unstoppable without a third to complete their partnership. Their third is not open to sharing and finds great difficulty in accepting that he is a part of an already established union.
Stormy Glenn has given us a plot, which will have readers putting The Tri-Omega series in their diaries for future release. Sex scenes are definitely not vanilla – they are hot, aggressive and in some case very much unexpected. I absolutely love this book and look forward to seeing where Ms. Glenn goes with this series.
If you're interested in the rest of the titles of the TRI-OMEGA series here's a list of them in order: SECRET DESIRES, FORBIDDEN DESIRES, and HIDDEN DESIRES which is due to be released in early 2009.

The Best Man by Jenna Jones
Zack and Quaid have been lovers for more than a decade, but things aren't going well between them. Quaid is dependable, but Zack is bored, dissatisfied with their routine.
"I don't think I can do this," Quaid said, looking up as the ride shot into the night and the next load of passengers screamed.
"Of course you can. It's just a thrill ride. It's not even the scariest ride in Vegas."
"That's really not helping, Zack." Quaid winced and shivered a little as the vehicle roared up its track, passengers shouting with laughter and artificial terror.
The other members of the wedding party were in line ahead of them: the other two Brannigan brothers, Peyton and Riley; the bride, Isabel, tucked under Peyton's arm; the bride's sister and the sister's husband; the bride's best friend; cousins from both sides of the family, friends from college or the bride and groom's current jobs.
After supper at the vast buffet at the Aladdin, Riley had the idea to walk to the Stratosphere to go on the rides and look at the view. It would be a symbolic gesture, he said, to start the marriage with something that seemed terrifying but actually wasn't. Everyone had exclaimed over the idea except Quaid, but he wasn't given to exclaiming over things anyway.
"You'll be fine." Zack let go of his hand. "You always are."
Quaid chuckled dryly and his body relaxed until another vehicle shot up the tower and into the sky. Riley glanced back at them, his expression concerned, but when he caught Zack's eye he smiled and turned again to talk to Isabel.
"Oh, God," Zack murmured when he saw one of Isabel's cousins working his way down the line to join them. Jeremy was nineteen and newly out, and had latched himself onto Zack and Quaid as his role models and new best friends.
"Be nice. He's just young," Quaid whispered back and smiled at the younger man. "Hey, Jeremy."
"I'm so excited," Jeremy said, bouncing on his toes with eagerness. "Aren't you excited, Quaid?"
"He's scared," Zack said. "Big old baby."
Quaid glanced at him, his brows furrowing. "Roller coasters aren't my favorite thing."
"It'll be fun," Jeremy coaxed Quaid and touched his arm. "I'll sit with you. Do you want me to sit with you?"
"Thanks, but I'll sit with Zack," Quaid said.
Jeremy pouted a moment. "Okay. Can I stand in line with you? Maybe we'll be in the same row!"
"Of course you can," Quaid said and gave Zack a warning look when Zack rolled his eyes. Jeremy beamed and his shoulders got a little straighter as he waited with them.
It wasn't much longer before they reached the front of the line, and Zack was glad: that kept short the time he had to listen to Jeremy babble. The younger members of their group jumped into their seats, squealing with excitement.
"Quaid, come on," Zack said.
Quaid looked out at the dark night and then shook his head. "I can't."
At a family wedding in Las Vegas, Zack does his thing, with little consideration of what Quaid wants or needs, until he notices how much attention one of the other guests is paying to Quaid. And how much Quaid is loving it.
Zack has always known Quaid was the best man for him. Now, can he prove he's the best man for Quaid?
~Excerpt~
From the top of the Stratosphere Hotel, Las Vegas looked like a starry night, as if someone had flipped the world onto its back. Zack Palmer leaned against the railing, looked at the billion neon bulbs below, and thought that riding the Big Shot in the dark would be like blasting off for the moon.
He glanced over as Quaid's hand slid down the railing to wrap around his -- it was unusually clammy and shaking. Zack let Quaid hold his hand, but he didn't think it would be for long. People would make remarks and he was no in mood for a confrontation tonight.
"I don't think I can do this," Quaid said, looking up as the ride shot into the night and the next load of passengers screamed.
"Of course you can. It's just a thrill ride. It's not even the scariest ride in Vegas."

The older generation had declined to join them; Zack had no doubt they were back in the Bellagio casino, playing slots and downing martinis.

Riley climbed in beside one of Isabel's girlfriends, a vivacious girl with chestnut hair who'd been flirting with him since they’d first met earlier that day. Peyton and Isabel took the next row behind him and Jeremy got into the next seat, nearly bouncing with excitement.
Zack got into the seat beside Jeremy and looked up expectantly at Quaid, who stood frowning on the edge of the platform.
"Quaid, come on," Zack said.
Quaid looked out at the dark night and then shook his head. "I can't."

Dust and Moonlight by Keta Diablo
"Fantasy lives in all of us. We long to be carried away to an extraordinary world, contrary to the one we live in. In Dust and Moonlight I've tried to do just that. Join me in a journey where magical powers and true identities are concealed, where an ordinary woman is thrust into a mystical land that threatens her very existence. Kira must rely on conventional wisdom to stay alive in this alien kingdom where wizards, sorcerers and evil reside. Well, conventional wisdom and a wee bit of help from her deceased grandmother who practiced witchcraft in her day. When she meets Balion, Prince of Locke Cress, she discovers cosmic love, a love that crosses all boundaries and withstands the test of time. Live the fantasy, believe in the magic, and join Kira for the adventure of her life . . . and yours. "
~Keta~
Balion, Prince of Locke Cress, waited a long time for the forest nymph with lavender eyes to come to him. The dreams told him it was just a matter of time. What they hadn’t told him was that he’d lose his heart to the strange creature from another world.
After the serial killer attacked Kira, she awoke in a strange land. Now, she’s running for her life from wild boars, wizards, and sorcerers, not to mention a Prince that makes her body melt in all the wrong places. Facing extraordinary circumstances as the evil plots unfold, Kira fights for her life, and for a love that neither time nor distance can ever dispel from her soul.

Tiffany Davis stared at her ornately decorated tree tied up with fancy, blue and silver ribbons. It was absolutely perfect. The built-in, multicoloured lights merrily twinkled at just the right intervals. A gorgeous angel with serenely flowing blonde hair topped the tree.
Beneath the tree, beautifully wrapped gifts were piled high, also in blue and silver to match. Only she knew they were empty, merely for decoration and affectation.
They were as fake as the pine scent she’d sprayed on the metal monstrosity, as fake and empty as she was.
She snorted. Who was she kidding?
This year, like many of the previous ones, she found Christmas depressing. An only child of deceased parents, divorced, childless, she was alone in the world.
Oh, sure, she had a lot of friends. Go-to-lunch kind of friends. None had invited her to join them for their Christmas celebrations.
Well, that wasn’t entirely true. Her cousins had invited her, but they were a day’s drive away, and she couldn’t justify travelling so far with the astronomical gas prices when she only had a three-day weekend off work. Besides, it wasn’t like they were close. She could count on one hand the number of times she’d seen them since her mom had died ten years ago.
Thoughts of her mother rumbled in her mind. Tears pricked the back of her eyes, and she choked on a sob. God, she missed her mom like hell. And she felt guilty she hadn’t spent more time with her. But Tiffany had been too busy building her career. She’d always thought they’d have plenty of time.
Her mom’s favourite Christmas CD by Elvis filled the empty apartment. Then the AC whooshed on, and a dry chuckle tickled her throat. AC—on Christmas Eve? That and hurricanes were what she got for living in Southern Florida. It was nothing like the white snowy Christmases she used to love in Cincinnati.
She thought about attending midnight mass and hearing the beautiful bell choir, but voted against it as she’d feel even more alone in the crowd of families and loving couples. Instead, she turned on the TV and landed on a station that was having a Christmas marathon, starting with a Jimmy Stewart tear-jerker.
Although she was on a perpetual diet, she felt sorry enough for herself to open the box of iced Christmas cookies a co-worker had given her and pour a glass of eggnog to sip as she watched the show. Curling her feet beneath her on the couch, splayed her Christmas skirt over her knees then dipped her cookies in the drink. She wondered if the world would miss her like they had Jimmy Stewart. She had no husband. No kids. Not even a dog. She wasn’t a humanitarian like Jimmy was in the movie—she sold socks for a living. Not cute, frilly socks. Just plain white socks.
Maybe she should get a dog, she mused. At least, she’d have a warm body to cuddle, and someone who would be eager to see her when she got home from work. She’d always had a dog as a kid, usually a big, lovable husky.
She sighed as reality decked her square between the eyes. She worked and travelled way too much. It wouldn’t be fair to a dog to leave it alone so much.
In a fit of self pity, she downed the rest of her eggnog in one gulp and flicked the TV to another station. She didn’t need any more tear-jerkers tonight. She felt sorry enough for herself as it was.
Again it was a blasted Christmas movie, but at least it was a funny one with Bill Murray getting the snot kicked out of him by a pissed-off angel. Much more in keeping with her style and her mood. She dimmed the lights, stretched out on the couch and laughed despite herself as the miserable wretch got himself Scrooged by the three ghosts of Christmas.
At the stroke of midnight, she sat up long enough to lift another glass of eggnog. “To me. To Christmas,” she murmured ruefully. She couldn’t wait for the holidays to be over so she’d stop feeling so wretched.

Ryan Holt fished around in the Santa cap his co-worker Angie held out and pulled out a name. He wondered if he would throw away good money again this Christmas.
Last year, his secret Santa had given him a box of envelopes. Not fancy stationery. Just envelopes.
He scrunched his brows.
What a cheap bastard!
And he’d spent a lot of time and effort getting a good gift last year, and he’d dropped a wad of cash.
He hoped he’d picked his own name as he had his eye on Josh Groban’s Christmas CD. He could hear Josh’s golden tones caressing his ears now. He could feel them vibrating in his soul.
In holiday heaven, he rocked back in his chair and unfolded the slip of paper as he hummed the tune tickling his mind.
His jaw dropped when he stared at the name written in bold, sexy scroll and his heart skipped several beats before racing full speed ahead.
Drew Mason.
God, Drew was what he really longed for Santa to leave in his stocking, all six feet three of gorgeous, delectable man. Forget Josh Groban.
Drew’s blond vision flashed in his mind, and Ryan drooled. His cock flexed, as he longed to take his fantasy man into his arms, drink deeply of his lips, and strip him of his clothes. He yearned to see every naked, mouth watering inch of him. He lusted for carnal knowledge in the worst way. His two-year old bed was still a virgin, and it was high time it got worn in.
A grin tilted his lips as he envisioned wrapping his fully aroused body around Drew’s and pulling him into the cradle of his thighs. He could almost feel Drew’s cock rubbing against his, could feel his powerful thighs fitting against him as if they were made for each other. Their musk overpowered the scent of Christmas pine and peppermint. Already, their sweet juices oozed from their cocks which were so ready to fuck one another.
Their gazes glazed over with passion as they caught and held. Ryan grew hotter still when Drew’s tongue darted out, moistening his suddenly dry lips. Then slowly, sensually, Drew lowered his lips and his breath coasted over Ryan before plundering his lips with a hot, fevered kiss and rubbing his groin against his.
Ryan’s blood was on fire, he couldn’t wait a moment longer to make Drew his. Savouring his closeness, the feel of his hard body, he let his ragged voice whisper over his lover’s warm flesh, “Love me. Let me love you. Fate brought us together.”
Drew huskily drawled, “Stop talking so much and kiss me again.”
Oh, he wanted a whole lot more than a mere kiss, but he laid a big wet one on the man as he reverently laid him on the bed. When he came up for air, he lubed his cock then he rocked back and hoisted his lover onto his lap.
“Fuck me now,” Drew implored, his beautiful eyes adoring him, his hand pumping his cock. “Before I come without you.”
From the hazy edges of his peripheral vision, Angie snapped her fingers in front of Ryan’s face. “Earth to Ryan. Come in, Ryan.”
Embarrassed, aware of the humongous bulge in his pants, he rolled his chair beneath his desk to hide his obvious erection. Not that Drew worked in his end of the building. It was unlikely the man would walk by and see him, but Angie would blab to anybody who would listen. Worse, she might think him hot for her.
“Uh, I was just thinking about my, uh, work project…”
Damn! He cursed himself for how raspy his voice came out.

The Importance of Setting by Ashley Ladd
I’m sitting at the ball field watching my daughter’s play off game while perspiration is trickling down every crevice. If not for a merciful breeze every few minutes I’d be a melted Popsicle on the ground.
The sun is scorching, high in the noon sky. The sky is a perfect blue with fluffy white clouds meandering by.
Kids are being kids playing softball, kicking up dust, getting dirty, and loving it. We parents are loving it, too, even if we’re getting sun burnt because we didn’t think to bring sun block in mid-November in the Northern hemisphere.
Being born and raised in the Midwestern US (Ohio) I’m used to November being cold, even snowy. Perhaps downright freezing and icy. In fact, I like my Novembers that way as it’s the perfect herald to Thanksgiving, y birthday, and Christmas.
Although it’s a beautiful Florida day and I’m loving this, I also miss the seasons and am not in the holiday spirit.
I write a lot of stories set in South Florida because I know this place having lived here for twenty years. I know from experience that November can be chilly (never snowy or icy) or sweltering and that it can flip flop. Tomorrow’s supposed to be very cold again according to the weather gurus.
But what if someone else were to write a story set in South Florida, someone whose only visited briefly or perhaps has never been here?
To be accurate, they’d have to do a LOT of research. That’s true of setting anywhere. If you don’t already know it, you have to research every minute detail. That’s probably why the axiom “Write what you know” is so popular. It’s so easy to get tripped up when you guess or research but not enough.
Most of my stories are set in Ohio or Cincinnati, or made up planets where I can make my own rules so readers can’t “catch me” in making a stupid mistake. I also set one story in Mississippi and another in Nebraska, but I lived there, too.
Every now and then I set stories in England, primarily London, as my publisher, Total-E-Bound is British and sometimes, they want stories that are only set there. I love to do the research, to get in a different mind set, but I have to be very careful and profusely worry over every single detail, every word, to make it right. Then I still worry that I may have based my research on faulty information.
Setting is very important to a story. This softball game, for instance, would have a totally different tone if it was sprinkling, or if nasty clouds threatened overhead, if it was so cold we had to bundle up in quilts and jackets while the players froze on the field.
This softball field bordered by palm trees, pines, and mossy trees, with no hills or mountains in the background (because South Florida is so flat we think speed bumps are huge hills) with parents wearing halter tops and short shorts and getting sun burned in mid-November is totally different than a field in Ohio where it would be surrounded by hills so tall they look like mountains, with majestic oaks, mighty maple trees, and stoic walnut trees. It’s also different than one in Nebraska where it’s also flat, but there are few trees but seas of corn fields.
Some people think research is only required for historicals or medical thrillers, but that’s a fallacy. Every story needs to be accurate even if set in your home town even if it’s a small one with a population of one hundred. I once received an email from a reader who said she lived in my home town and she recognized it from my description. So you never know who will read your stories, which will be checking your facts. The more accurate, the more detailed your scenery, the richer the mosaic of your story, and the better it will be.
Specifically for my December release, setting plays an important role. It’s set in an office at Christmas time. There are Christmas decorations, treats, music. There’s a Secret Santa, an office Christmas party, and characters are dressed in Christmas finery. The setting is as much a character as the heroes and their co-workers. Without the setting, the story would fall flat.

A Summery of Life
My birthday is the 22nd of November. A friend sent me a little note about growing older that I wanted to share.
GREAT TRUTHS THAT LITTLE CHILDREN HAVE LEARNED:
1) No matter how hard you try, you can't baptize cats.
2) When your Mom is mad at your Dad, don't let her brush your hair.
3) If your sister hits you, don't hit her back. They always catch the second person.
4) Never ask your 3-year old brother to hold a tomato.
5) You can't trust dogs to watch your food.
6) Don't sneeze when someone is cutting your hair.
7) Never hold a Dust-Buster and a cat at the same time.
8) You can't hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk.
9) Don't wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts.
GREAT TRUTHS THAT ADULTS HAVE LEARNED:
1) Raising teenagers is like nailing jelly to a tree.
2) Wrinkles don't hurt.
3) Families are like fudge..mostly sweet, with a few nuts.
4) Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.
5) Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside.
6) Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fibre, not the toy.
GREAT TRUTHS ABOUT GROWING OLD
1) Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.
2) Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get.
3) When you fall down, you wonder what else you can do while you're down there.
4) You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster.
5) It's frustrating when you know all the answers but nobody bothers to ask you the questions.
6) Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.
7) Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone.
THE FOUR STAGES OF LIFE:
1) You believe in Santa Claus.
2) You don't believe in Santa Claus.
3) You are Santa Claus.
4) You look like Santa Claus.
SUCCESS:
At age 4 success is . . . not piddling in your pants.
At age 12 success is . . . having friends.
At age 17 success is . .having a drivers license.
At age 35 success is . .... having money.
At age 50 success is . . having money.
At age 70 success is . . .. having a drivers license.
At age 75 success is . . having friends.
At age 80 success is . .. not piddling in your pants.
Always remember to forget the troubles that pass your way; BUT NEVER forget the blessings that come each day.

I'm seeing Red!!!
Okay people, someone mentioned a blog post on one of my yahoo groups that I found very interesting and felt a great need to share. Please check it out here.
I think it is very important for everyone to give this author their support and the town of Greene, Iowa their thoughts. If I knew how to contact the town council, I would send them a piece of my mind.
This is discrimination, clear and simple, all because an author wrote one M/M book. They'd love me. All I write is M/M books. Guess I won't be moving to Greene, Iowa.
Please, check out this article and give your support.

4 Star Review for ~SECRET DESIRES~
I just got the email from Rainbow Reviews that they've reviewed my book, Secret Desires.
RATING: 4 Stars
BOOK REVIEW:
Leyland is a photographer on assignment when his car breaks down. Luckily for him, he's rescued by a handsome, strong cowboy. The two men are drawn to each other from the beginning and on the way to Jake's ranch a bond is formed that neither can do without. Things become a little more complicated when the two make it to the ranch and Leyland is introduced to Lucas. It's only after some misunderstandings are cleared up that the three men realize that they were always meant to be together.
Stormy Glenn's Secret Desires is an excellent story and the beginning of a new series. The love felt by the three men is a deep and abiding one that is the key to keeping one member of their family safe. I would recommend this story to anyone interested in m/m. -- Rainbow Reviews

Secret Desires - Romance Junkies Review
I recieved my first review. Romance Junkies has givven me a 5 Blue Ribbon Review
When Leyland Summer’s car breaks down on a lonely country road – he had no idea that one of his life long fantasies would come through before night falls. When a lone rider – Jake, who looks like a dream on horse back offers him the ride of his life, he quickly accepts.
Leyland, being a tri-omega, knows he needs to mate with two wolves. Jake being the alpha male that he is, is automatically possessive of what he considers his own – and Leyland is definitely his. However he has had to make a difficult choice in order to have Leyland – a decision he has found hard to live with.
When Leyland meets Jake’s second in command - Lucas, he knows immediately that he is his second mate; what he’s not prepared for is the knowledge that Jake and Lucas are already in love - with each other -where does that leaves him?
A relationship of two can be tricky at the best of time and three is definitely no laughing matter. Ms. Glenn has created a dynamic party of three men that want to please each other, need to please each other – but pride, possessiveness and jealousy all play a part in making the road to the perfect relationship a rocky one.
All three men are lovely and have their own individual quirk that not only endears them to your heart but also have you enjoying the tension filled scenes that the men have to go through in order to find the best compromise that work for them.
I absolutely enjoyed SECRET DESIRES and am so looking forward to the rest of Jake’s little pack having their own story - soon.

Oprah's Favorite New Gadget
Jessica Freely, another author, had a very interesting story on her blog recently about Oprah's Favorite New Gadget. Oprah has fallen in love with the Kindle. Go to Amazon.com to learn more
about the Kindle!
This summer, Oprah received a gift that she says changed her life. "It's absolutely my new favorite favorite thing in the world," she says. Meet the Amazon Kindle™, a wireless portable reading device with instant access to more than 190,000 books, blogs, newspapers and magazines. Whether you're in bed or on the train, Kindle lets you think of a book and get it in less than a minute.
Being able to download a book to your Kindle allows you to take your entire library any place at any time! The Amazon Kindle is equipped to hold about 200 books, but if you pop in a simple memory card, you can have more than 4,000 books at your fingertips.
The Amazon Kindle is kind of like a cell phone, Amazon.com founder and CEO Jeff Bezos says. "It has a wireless radio built right into it and so you can shop right from the device. And anytime you want to get a book, you can have it in less than 60 seconds," he says.
Afraid you might lose your Kindle? Jeff says Amazon's got you covered. "Every time you buy a book, we store an archival copy for you at Amazon," he says. "So if you ever want to delete something off your Kindle or if you lose your Kindle, you can always get your books back, re-download them back anytime you want for free."
Oprah says she was reluctant to try the Amazon Kindle when she first heard about it. "I had a couple electronic books before, and I wasn't there because I was like, 'I need the book; I have to have the paper. I'm a reader. I'm a professional reader,'" she says. When her friend brought her Kindle with a book already downloaded, Oprah was sold. "It was so easy," she says. "And the fact that it's wireless and you don't have to download them from your computer."
I thought this was a great story as it promotes eBooks and the kindle device. If you get a chance, check out the article either at Jessica's blog or at Oprah's blog.

Nina Pierce, a great writer in her own right, was nice enough to interview me on her blog, Around the Writer's Block. If you get a chance, stop by and check out our interview. We had a ton of fun doing this interview. Nina is hilarious! And she makes a mean margarita. Of course, all of the gorgeous cowboys running around didn't hurt either...LOL

Tonight (er... 2:20am) I finished Forbidden Desires, the sequel to Secret Desires (due early 2009 through Siren Publishing). I have to check it over for spelling, punctuation, and just bad grammer, then I'll submit it to Siren Publishing and hope for the best.

No blurb yet, sorry. I'm still working on it. As soon as I get one worked out in my head, I'll add it.

Full Moon Mating
I've just finished Full Moon Mating a couple of days ago and submitted it. Hopefully, I'll hear something back in a couple of weeks.
Here's a small blurb to wet your appetite:
[Erotic Paranormal, Werewolves, M/M]
Sheriff Joe Nash couldn’t have been more surprised when he answered a call to a shooting and discovers the sexiest man he had ever seen. His extraordinary response to the man tells him immediately that Nate is his mate. Taking a chance, Joe takes him home, hoping to convince him to stay.
But Nate Summers is on the run from someone, never staying in one place for more than a few days. The tall handsome sheriff and his offer of a safe haven intrigue Nate, but he’s afraid that if he sticks around, the sheriff will discover his secret, a secret that could make the sheriff hate him.

First Edit for Secret Desires
Yesterday, I recieved the first edit for Secret Desires. It was a lot less painful than I thought it would be, even though I had to add an entire chapter. I had the edits done and returned back in by 2am this morning. Hopefully, there won't be too much more to edit. I did hear from Siren that they will have the cover to me for my approval real soon. I can hardly wait.

I could just scream!
Okay, I'm losing my ever loving mind. Last night, I went up to my room, pulled out my laptop, and got settled in to write while my husband watched TV. Logged into my email and my laptop went crazy. Now, we're going to have to reformat the enitre thing. Everything that was on my laptop is lost. Luckily, I tend to transfer stuff to my desktop pc every morning. I just hope I remembered everything.

Had to share!!!
Okay, I just had to share this. It has nothing to do with my writing but it was just too funny. I have two dogs, Mook and Rascal. They are my babies. Today, we were in the backyard when they spotted a squirel. They went nuts, barking and jumping. The squirel... he started yelling back, throwing things at them. My poor babies looked so confused. I couldn't stop laughing. They couldn't understand why the squirel didn't want to play with them.

Carol Lynne Interview
Today I'm interviewing author Carol Lynne. She has been one of my favorite authors for some time and I have read everything she has written. I first talked to Carol about a year ago when I emailed her as a fan after reading her Men in Love series. She emailed me back right away. She has always been good to her fans. I would like to thank Carol for doing this interview with me. She was the inspiration that started me writing.
If you haven't had a chance to read her work, I would suggest you try it out. She's brought me to tears, made me laugh, and caused me to fall in love with her characters. Check her out at her website.
Q: What is your normal day like?
A: Well, besides taking care of two young children, I’m usually in front of my laptop. I generally only write about 7 or 8 hours though. The rest of the time I’m answering emails, talking on IM, or brainstorming future stories.
Q: What about writer's block?
A: I’ve been very fortunate and have never experienced writer’s block. Oh, there are times during the month when the last thing I want to think about is sex, but it goes away. Thanks god!
Q: What would you say is a true hero?
A: Of course the usual answer is someone who puts their own mortality aside and thinks only of others, and I totally agree with that. On a personal level my answer would be quite different. I look up to people who’ve been hurt in the past but can still let their guard down enough to let others in. It’s not an easy thing to do, and I admire those who can.
Q: How do you know if you’ve written a good story?
A: If the book makes me cry while writing it, I usually know it’ll touch others as well.
Q: Which comes first, the story, the characters or the setting?
A: Definitely the characters. My favorite part of any new book is exploring the characters in depth.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about writing?
A: I enjoy the freedom and duality of writing. At home I’m mommy, but when I log on to my laptop, I become Carol Lynne. It’s like having a secret garden in your own home.
Q: Do you have a favorite character?
A: Well, don’t tell Jake and Cree, but the more I write about Nate, the more I like him. I’d have to say he’s every character I’ve written rolled into one man.
Q: Which of your books did you have the most fun writing?
A: That’s a toss up between All Play and No Work and Karaoke at the Tumbleweed.
Q: Which book was the hardest to write?
A: There are actually two that were difficult to get on paper. Finnegan’s Promise was written soon after my father’s death. I cried ninety percent of the time writing that one. The other would be my upcoming Ellora’s Cave release, No Longer His. That particular book helped me deal with a lot of issues I’ve been carrying around in my hip pocket.
Q: Why do you write in this genre?
A: Gee, I’m asked that all the time, and you know, I’m still not sure. I think it has something to do with my inexperience with healthy M/F relationships. It’s much easier to imagine two men loving each other for me.
Q: Do you ever feel weird writing gay erotica?
A: Not at all. It might if I wrote it because it was the hot genre or for the money, but I write it because I truly love it. How can I feel weird about doing what I love?
Q: What project you're working on now?
A: I’m presently working on another book in the Cattle Valley series, and I’m getting ready to wind up the Campus Cravings series.
Q: How did you come up with Cattle Valley?
A: Actually, I’ve caught quite a bit of flack for my gay men in the Campus Cravings books. I hear people say no way can there be that many gay men in that town. Well, I live close to Kansas University, and I’m here to tell you I haven’t even tapped the surface.
So, when I decided to create a new series, the last thing I wanted was to hear the same remarks. I wanted the books to be about the characters and not how many gay men were in a particular town. That’s when I came up with the idea of Cattle Valley. There, it doesn’t matter what your sexual orientation is. The stories are simply about the characters.
Q: You have Men in Love, Cattle Valley, Campus Cravings, and the Good-time Boys. Any other series you're thinking about?
A: I just returned from a week at a working cattle ranch in Montana. I’m hoping to use my experiences to write a new series. There will be cowhands, wranglers, and guests. It should be a lot of fun, and I do love some cowboys.
Q: What made you want to become a writer?
A: Here’s another answer people don’t like. I never even considered writing before I turned forty. One day I woke up with a story in my head. I wanted to read a ménage, but I really wanted the men to touch and love each other. At the time, there weren’t many out there. I started on the internet and searched for the book that was on my mind. When I was unable to find it, I sat down at the computer I’d inherited from my father only two months prior and wrote Branded by Gold. That first book took me two weeks to complete, and I was hooked. I never imagined I could use my wild and crazy dreams in such a way.
Q: What's the best writing advice you've ever received?
A: Write what you love, because readers will be able to tell the difference.
Q: What's your favorite thing about writing? Your least favorite?
A: Doing something so incredibly rewarding. I love when a reader emails to tell me how much they’ve enjoyed one of my stories. Sometimes I feel guilty because not everyone gets that kind of feedback from their job.
My least favorite part would have to be putting my stories out there to be criticized. I know it goes hand in hand with my favorite part, but there it is. It’s not that I hate it when someone doesn’t enjoy one of my books, but when someone comments, and they haven’t taken the time to read the book, it really bothers me.
Q: Do you find your books draw you in and it is hard to let go once you have finished?
A: Yes and no. When I’m writing, I feel totally immersed in my characters. By the time the book is finished, I’ve given those characters what they needed, and I’m ready to move on to the next lonely souls.
Q: What advice would you give to someone who has an idea for a book, but doesn't know where or how to begin?
A: The biggest advice I can give anyone is to find a routine and stick to it. You may only have time for thirty minutes a day, but make sure you give yourself that every single day. Even if you’re stumped and don’t know what to write next, sit in that chair. Getting the work ethic down is the most important part in my opinion.
Q: What is your favorite quote?
A: Gee, I’m not sure who said this, probably someone long dead. "If you have to crawl to live, stand and die." That quote brings tears to my eyes every time I read it or say it.
Q: Tell us one thing your readers might not know about you?
A: Having double jointed hips isn’t necessarily a good thing. LOL

I am so excited!!! My author’s page got put up at Siren Publishing. They even have my two books, Secret Desires and The Katzman’s Mate, listed under coming soon with blurbs and everything. No covers yet but the people at Siren Publishing are really cooking on this. How cool is that?
Yeah, yeah… I know… can you say "my first two books and I’m dying from excitement?" It’s just so weird to actually see my name up there in connection to something I actually created. If I wasn’t sitting cross-legged on my bed with a dog in my lap right now, I get up and dance a jig!
Instead, picture me rolling around on my back, legs wiggling in the air as I yell… "Yippee!!!"

Welcome
Hi, I’m Stormy Glenn. Well, I did it. I officially signed with Siren Publishing for two new books: The Katzman’s Mate (M/M) and Secret Desires (M/M/M with the Ménage Amour new line). Both will be released early in 2009.
I have also signed with Torquere Press for one book, A promise Kept (M/M) which will also be released in 2009. I am very excited about working with the people Siren and Torquere. They have all been wonderful.
I love writing almost as much as I love reading. I am amazed by the ability to create new worlds, old worlds, far away worlds. I have several books that I’m working on at any given time so I am never quite sure what will come out next. I’m even working on a sequel to Secret Desires right now. I’ll try to keep you updated.
If you would like to know more about me, come visit me or drop me a line. I love to hear from people. Email or Website
